Daylight Savings; No 2am today!

What am I doing now? Wasting my time obviously, didnt do anything beneficial at all, just sleep, eat, watch tv, surfing, cook, that's all. No study, no reading, no writing. Haih...

I woke up at about 1pm-2pm today (Saturday), the result of sleeping late, insomia. After that, I cook breakfast/lunch for myself. Made myself a Big Breakfast, really big, consist of English Muffins, Scrambled Eggs with Mushroom, Hashbrown, Sausages & Tomatos. It's so good, I think I got potential to be a good cook if I learn some cooking from my mum. :)

Then, lazy in front of tv lo, damn sien, still feel sleepy despite slept so much already, because dont have proper deep sleep, that's why. Later, wash the dishes and marinate drumsticks with Teriyaki Sauce (my dinner). Decided to do readings for my Culture & Empire essay, not that I want to, but I have to, it's due next Fri and I havent started a single word on it, argh!!!

Erm...end up read til fell asleep. Sometimes, I really feel geram with myself lo... After that, had a late dinner while watch tv, then surf the net and now blogging.

Btw, I nearly forgot about daylight saving. OMG! Thank Godness, Uncle Chris called from Hong Kong and mentioned about it, if not, I'll be blur blur until they come back on Monday, only I'll realise. Now, actually I'm killing my time, wanna wait til 2am to switch the clock one hour forward. Actually, I dont have to wait till 2am but since I'm still awake now so will do that. Hehe...

Soon, the clock will jump from 2am to 3am. Well, I dont really know what its purpose, maybe will check on wikipedia after this to find out.

Til then...

Blogger got some kind of error and I cant post this up just now... Now it's 3.02am, my laptop auto adjust the time, so from 1.59am, it jump straight to 3.00am. Cool...

I'm a Krispy Kreme Glazed Donut!!!

You Are a Glazed Donut
Okay, you know that you're plain - and you're cool with that. You prefer not to let anything distract from your sweetness.Your appeal is understated yet universal. Everyone dig you.And in a pinch, you'll probably get eaten.
What Donut Are You?

Seriously, I so wanna eat Krispy Kreme now. It's so good!

How Can This Happen To Me?

Why???

What is the reason of me still staying awake at this wee hour? 4.30am in the morning and I'm still awake. I wanna get asleep too but the thing is I cant!!! I cant sleep, not sleepy at all. How is this possible? This morning, I fell asleep at train, I'm so so sleepy, but now cant sleep.

Argh!!!

Is this consider as insomia? Anyone know what can cure insomia?

Is it because of the cappucino I had this morning that made me so 'energetic'? But last time, coffee wont work on me, I even sleep better after having coffee, but now.... Or is it because of stress? But sounds so...

I wanna feel sleepy now! I wanna meet with 'Zhou Gong'!

Dilemma...

Should I be happy or what? I dont know... I'm having some sort of mixed feeling right now.

Perhaps I shall be glad that I'm done with my first year of uni. Yes, no more lectures + tutes in uni, only left with 1 essay & 3 exams to go, then I can officially call first year an end. It wont be long though, 3 more weeks.

Again, I havent started my revisions yet and the essay. Haih...

Also I'm having some kind of dilemma now, regarding subject selection. I'm undecisive about what direction should I head in my studies. I had to re-enrol by mid November, already done with the Arts component, left Commerce ones. Should I follow my original plan of doing International Management + Finance or should I change my mind now???

All the while, I really thought myself will like management rather than accounting, economics, etc. I dont know about accounting, because I havent do any accounting subject in uni. Actually, I quite enjoy it though during A-Levels time. Erm...or maybe I just like the sense of achievement? Hehe...whenever I can solve the question, ie get the balance sheet balance, prepare the P&L correctly, I feel happy. :) Also I feel I quite like economics at this moment. Is it because I got only H3 for MPO assignments and in contrast I got like H1 in my economics assignments?

I really feel that management is a bit boring lo, after doing MPO. Is it the problem with this subject alone or really the area management is not my cup of tea? I dont know.... I really get demotivated every time I get my MPO assignments back, are they so not good? I always expect I can get H1/H2A/H2B for them lo, H3 is a grade I dont wish to see. I felt I did not bad what, but why? Twice, I got dissapointed twice! :(

And most of the people I know, all wanna do accounting + finance, most of them, except one who wanna do management. Somehow, they say this combination have a better career prospect wor... Btw, uncle will be doing economics + finance. Am I distracted by them? I admit I'm a bit kiasu, ok? I really scare when I graduate, no company wanna employ me lo... I cant take it man! 'Invested' some much 'funds' in my higher education here, if no 'return' then die la! Investment like this rugi better! How u expect me to accept???

Argh... Dilemma... Should I rethink about my direction now? Am I taking the correct path that will lead me to success, achievement, recognition and life that I'd always dream of? Should I consider doing economics + finance which is a much more popular combination? Argh...I'm so so confused. (But, for sure I'll do Finance.) Or should I do a bit of economics & management subjects and all of them will be related to International business/trade. But I got constraints chosing subjects lo, not enough space in the degree structure!

Decision, decision, decision. Choice, choice, choice. No matter which choice I made, I'll forgo something, forgo the path that I didnt chosse and I'll never know what outcome will I get if I chossen that path. Either path I chosse, I'll lose, maybe it'll be pain, or maybe it'll be gain. No one knows, God knows perhaps. Will I regret or will I be glad with the path I chosse?

Just like "The Road Not Taken". I dont know which road to follow now...

Am I thinking way too much? Perhaps, I should just follow my intuition, the very very original intuition of mine...

I'll asking myself way too much questions at this time... I shall concentrate on my essay + exams first...

Something is going away so fast wihout i aware...

OMG! This is week 12 of uni & today is Thursday. That means tomorrow will be the last day of my first year of uni. I just cant believe it!!! It's so so fast... Next week will be SWOT VAC and after that will be semester 2 exam.

OMG! I havent even started my revision for any subject lo... Somemore, I have the culture & empire essay due next Friday. Gosh...I went Officeworks to photocopy the books today, spent like $7 ++, dunno how many pages, but I'm definitely very tired of doing the photocopying. I feel like buying a photostat machine and put it in my room, ok??? I really spent a lot on photocopy, after convert to RM, even more scary... (Well, I wont buy photostat machine, just joking, I got a 3 in 1 printer+scanner+copier, wonder why I didnt use that to photocopy?)

And I cooked just now, Grilled Cajun Chicken, I think I'll soon become a expert of Grill Chicken, haha... Had been cooking a lot of Grill Chicken since I'm home alone. Well, my home alone are ending soon, my aunt coming back on Sunday/Monday from China.

Erm...all the things I wrote seems quite irrelevant, I dont care liao... This is my blog and I can write what I wanna write.

Btw, I'm really excited about going home now, I mean Malaysia. Yeah!!! I'm flying back on 2oth midnight, ie less than 1 month from time. I even start buying soveniers now, but still havent get enough, must get stuff for my family, 3M gang and Taylors gang. But dunno my luggage can accomodate anot lo... I had been shopping a lot here and there's many things that I bought for my mum & bro. Not forgeting yarns for Aunt Mooi Lan and winter coat for Aunt Betty which I bought ages ago. Also my aunt kept on reminding me that grandma left a bag for me 2 bring back. Haih... I also dunno how ah....

Til then...

Life's precious!

That's my thought of the day after watching some programmes on the Nat Geo channel. 'Life's precious so appreciate life and never take life for granted!'

After finish watching Australian Idol, I was lazying in front of the tv, switching between channels, then I saw Air Crash Investigation was on, so decided to watch it. It's a very interesting documentary, trace back some air accidents and illustrate them. Highly recommended!

The one I watched is about the incident happened back in 1988 on a Hawaian airliner, Aloha 243. Half way thru its journey on air, its roof tore apart. At last, it successfully landed with most of the people on board safe despite the fact one crew member died and its body coudnt be found.

The amazing part is that normally the airport where they landed, Maui I think, got very strong wind according to the people there. However, the moment when the plane land, there was no wind at all, according to the fire fighter at scene. Dont u think it's amazing? Well, I really believe the fact miracles do happen and when there's a will, there'll be a way. Never give up easily!

Following that, Seconds From Disaster was on, I was again attracted and watched the consequent 2 shows of it. :p One is about avalanche in Galtur, Austria and another one is about the Asian Tsunami. It made me reflect deeply on myself.

I was complain that 'Life's a struggle', yes the name of this blog, my favourite quote. But, I ignore the point that there are some people who wanted so much to be alive. That's why I should really appreciate what I had now and live to my fullest as we can never predict what will happen next.

I'm thinking of changing this blog's name but have little idea what name to adopt...

WTF!!!

Supposed to post one entry earlier about mid sem break but it's gone now. Dont ask me why, I dont know why it turn out like this. Haih... I think I'll stop reflecting on it.

Anyway, it's 12.10am now. As usual, I end up doing nothing today (sunday). I meant didnt study + work out on my essay. Sigh!

Woke up at about 1pm, the result of 'insomia'. I cant sleep at night for the past week and not willing to wake up in the morning. Mum told me even fortune teller predicted that. OMG! How???

Well, this will be the last week of Uni, after that will be SWOT vac then it's exam. It's way too hard for me to believe that my first year gonna end soon. Time flies wihout I'm aware of. It's just like yesterday when I first came Melbourne, struggling with the new environment, missing home tremendously (although I'm still struggling with assignments & missing Msia a lot now) :P Now, first year is towards its end and I'll be flying back in less than 1 month time from now. Yeah!

Exam is coming and I havent started on my revision yet, not forgetting I got my Culture & Empire essay due 3 Nov, also havent started yet. Typical myself... LOL.

Til then... Wanna do MPO tute readings now, but seriously I'm very lazy...

Day trip...

After the zoo outing on Thursday, there's no particular outing on Friday. At first we planned to go St Kilda but it was cancelled. (Wow! I have to admire myself man... I remember so well!) Wen Kai flying back that day, Yin Ci stayed home, me, May, Joyce, John and Zhong Yong went out for lunch at Shanghai Dumpling, favorite lunch venue on Friday.

Half way thru, we saw this ad of Melbourne day trip centre, took a brochure and head to lunch. Decided to go this day trip of Puffing Billy+Yarra Valley+Healsville the next day, cost $130 after discount. Perhaps we made a booking of 9 plp, the gang+Janet & friends, so we got the discount.

Also, I accompanied May, Joyce & Zhong Yong to RMIT open day, got a nice goodies bag. After that, go hanging around and attracted by FOX 40% off sales. Both May & I bought thongs which turn out to be not really comfortable to wear, nevermind, I bought tees too. Later, went Max Burner, believe me, this is my first time going to Max Burner. Ate waffle then off to shopping again! Went Myers and both of us bought sunnies from Basement. They are Playboy ones & had 50% off already reduced price, so i bought on a kiasu mindset. Cheap mah~~~

Kinda out of topic. Let's go into our day trip on Saturday now. We travel by coach, first stop was at Dadenong Ranges, we were served Morning tea there. Tasted Billy Tea, Lamington & Crackers with Vegemite. And we get to feed birds here. May is so excited (she love birds!). The birds are wild & we saw a few different type of them like Parrots & some which I dunno their names. :p Zhong Yong got beaten by a big bird, pity him...

The girls feeding bird

Then, we are off to the reknowned Puffing Billy, the old steam train ride. Obviously, we were the noist plp on the carriage. We are so so excited, took pictures all the way, from start to the end of the ride. We can cling ourselves onto the 'bars' during the ride too. That's cool man! Btw May wore different socks on both feet. Speechless...

Puffing John??? Haha..Dunno why all of us pointed at John. On our way to the ride...

Trying to pull the old train down! Outside the carriage.

Joyce, Yin Ci & me in front of the Puffing Billy

After that, we travel by coach to a winery in Yarra Valley, Ferguson's Winery. It's spring now so we cant see any grapes. Too bad... Had our lunch there, roast beef + salad, quite good though. But the wine served at lunch are not to our liking, not that I know how a good wine taste like but it's not nice to drink lo... While others are doing some wine tasting after the spit roast luch, we as usual went outside to snap shots. The driver had to chase us on to the bus as we were so busy posing at the winery and unwilling to leave. Typical us...taking photos at every inch we can find.

Cheers~~~ Yin Ci, me & May

With our tall driver + Janet's group

Yeah! Anyone notice the background, the scenery is so breathtaking, I come here again!

Decision time- We were given a choice of wildlife park or wineries. I wanna go to both though but we can only chosse one, since we were not interested in wine tasting so we went to Healsville Sanctuary. Followed by another decision where we had to chosse visiting animal hospital or watching bird show. May chossen the latter and the other of us abondened her. I visited animal hospital, nothing fantastic, only get to watch the staff there feeding an injured baby wallaby, listen to several types of wildlifes' heart beat and snap a few photos that made May jealous of us. Haha! Btw the animals here are so much better than Melbourne Zoo ones, at least they are more active. Also we can get a closer look of them and there were guides explaining to us all the way thru.

According to the guide, the Kangaroos arent moving around because it's hot. What the hell? It's not hot lo... I finally know why I'm always lazying around, it's not my fault though, it's the influence of Australia, see koala also sleep more than a dozen hours, kangaroos also so relax, you cant admit the fact that I'm influenced by the environment...

Outside the animal hospital, a nice wall for photos.

Finished visiting all wildlifes, but how can we not snap some pictures?

The entrance, reunited with May, photo shooting time of cause...

That's all for the trip, we were very tired is of cause an understatement but we definitely enjoyed ourselves immensely.

Mid-semester break 2006

It's so so outdated but I'll still blog about it anyway. I'm a person who wish to capture every happy moment which I had in my life. I always like to imagine how my future will be and also recall back the old memories I had before. That's why sometimes I like to chill at home, just lay back, stare at nowhere, and think randomly. Kind of crazy, huh?

This is also one of the reason why I always print out photos taken and arrange them in photo album. When I print photos, it's quite an expense, because I really print a lot. Eg the last week of my A-Levels & prom nite, I think I printed like 200-300 photos; the trip to Yunnan last year with mum & bro, I nearly finish filling a 300 photo album.. One of my aunt operates photo shop, so nevermind la... Dont get me wrong! I pay for the photos I develop although I got some discounts :), I meant that the money doesnt flow outside, it flows to my aunt! *cough*

Well, back to my topic of the day. The last break I had before my 1st year ended, I really enjoy it and I suppose all my buddies did too.

Hisa, Qi Lun & Wen Kai (who stayed here for 1 week) went back Malaysia and left us here in Melbourne. So, we decided that we have to impress them, the fact that we didnt go back, we can enjoy our hildays too. Just being 'kiasu'!

For 'appertizer', we went to Melbourne Zoo. Yes, a bunch of 17-20 years old went zoo just like primary kids who visit the zoo for the 1st time. Lily joined us too. We spent one whole day in zoo although the original plan was to go Melbourme Aquarium for the other half day.

We took tremendous number of pictures, remarkably there are more human than animals in the photos. We took picture of us jumping, laying the park, posing some crazy pose, "playing" with flowers, etc. It was a good outing even though the animals we saw are old + lazy. They hardly move lo, the animals I saw in Tarronga Zoo, Sydney is better.

One more thing which was noteworthy, someone mistaken babi hutan as wombat. Who is the one that made such a joke of the day? Somebody lo, not me, Yin Ci, May, Joyce, Lily and Wen Kai. U know who's the one? In case u dunno, it's John! All of us were convinced by John that the animal we saw is wombat, we even mention that now only we know babi hutan is wombat. Then Lily found out from the board that the animal is babi hutan. OMG! Cant stop laughing til today lo!

Later, we went to eat Korean food for dinner, quite expensive but it's really good.

So, I'll end this post with some pictures we took...

Outside the zoo

Have any idea why are we doing?

Group pic wihout Lily who dislike taking photo, wonder why?

Cant see any animals, right? Seriously, I can hardly find any photo of us with animals...

Back to blogging!

I'm finally back in action. Havent been posting for such a long time. The last post was during the mid semester break when I was sick. Just being lazy... :p

Well, let's recall what happen in my life since my last post. I suppose there'll be a lot of entries today. I feel so reluctant to do readings for my Culture & Empire final essay, so found this excuse to not doing it. Hahaha!

Kept on reading la, in case there's anyone reading my blog (which I think there's none). I had been enjoying reading people's blog these days. Reading some food blogs by fellow malaysians, and also some personal blogs like kennysia.com, smashpop, etc, seems to be my daily practice nowadays.

So, next entry will be featuring my 2 weeks mid-semester break.
